The extension has no server, no account system and no analytics. This page describes exactly what stays on your device and what leaves it.
What stays on your device
Your settings — Base URL, model name, prompts, shortcut modifier and generation
parameters — and the API key, if you enter one, are stored in
chrome.storage.local. They belong to this browser profile and are never
uploaded to us.
What leaves your browser
When you press a shortcut, the extension sends the text you selected, together with the rendered prompt, to the Base URL you configured. That request includes your API key in the Authorization header when a key is set. Requests go directly from the extension to that endpoint; there is no intermediary.
The same endpoint is contacted only when you ask for a model list or run a connection test. Nothing else is sent.
Permissions
storagekeeps the settings described above.-
Host access to
httpandhttpspages lets the extension reach any OpenAI-compatible endpoint you choose and draw its panel inside the page you are reading.
What is never collected
Browsing history, open tabs, bookmarks, page content you did not select, and usage statistics. There is no telemetry endpoint and no remote code: KaTeX and the Markdown renderer are bundled with the extension.
Removing your data
Clear the API key in the options page, or remove the extension from
chrome://extensions. Removing it deletes its local storage.
